I studied in the UK through a degree program with an integrated placement year, and that early exposure really set the tone for everything that followed. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with one of the largest third party management companies in Luxembourg, which gave me a firsthand look at how the finance industry operates beyond textbooks and lectures

Soon after, I was invited by the Management Team of ONE group solutions to support its incorporation. Being part of building the Group from the ground up was a defining moment. I took primary responsibility for the setup and design of R ONE, our proprietary next generation compliance software. Designing a core platform from scratch taught me an enormous amount about structure, scalability, and how technology can genuinely enable better governance.

Over time, I found myself drawn back to a long standing passion: Audit & Assurance. I joined the Big Four and spent a few years working with financial services clients, particularly insurance and reinsurance companies operating across Europe, South America, and Africa. It was a demanding, but one that sharpened my technical expertise and professional judgement.

More recently, my focus shifted toward auditing newly established Global Business Operations in Portugal, including listed entities. That role deepened my experience in financial reporting and the centralisation of support functions.

When the opportunity came to return to ONE to lead the newly established Porto office, it felt like a natural next step. Our ambition in Porto is to build a high performing, well structured Operations Centre that consistently delivers exceptional, client centric service. At the same time, we want to play an active role in Porto’s growing financial services ecosystem, working alongside other firms, attracting talent, and creating meaningful career opportunities for our local communities.

Personally, this role brings together everything I enjoy - building teams, solving complex challenges, and helping organisations move forward with confidence.
